Jan Darnell

Jan Darnell has been a student and teacher of Precept Ministries biblical studies for over forty years. She brings her passionate pursuit of God's truth to every Bible study and devotional she writes. Married since 1982, she has raised 7 children alongside her husband, Barry Darnell, a nuclear engineer in North Carolina.  This year, on February 27, 2025, they will celebrate 43 years of marriage.

Jan's doctrine aligns with fundamental Christian beliefs that center around Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior of anyone willing to turn from sin and receive forgiveness. Salvation and eternal life have been made possible through the sacrifice and work of Christ and Christ alone (John 14:6).

Turning from sin initiates beginning of new life within and a lifestyle that extends forgiveness to others in the love and mercies of Christ that we have received ourselves.

We should stay in a state of readiness for the return of the King of kings and Lord of lords. The day of the Lord is coming! A literal event! In anticipation we eagerly wait. In readiness we prepare for this glorious event that has been promised from the beginning of sin (Gen. 3:15) and will soon unfold. “The kingdom of the world will become the kingdom of our Lord, and of His Christ and He will reign forever and ever” (Revelation 11:15).
